Data controller: Ali Arda Kulaksız (“we”, “us”).

Our Chapter is a couple journal and relationship app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account: email, display name, password (stored by Firebase Authentication; we do not store plain passwords).
• Couple content: journal text, photos, comments, quiz answers, relationship dates, garden progress — shared only with your linked partner within the app.
• Profile: optional avatar photo or emoji.
• Location (optional): approximate coordinates while the app is open, if you enable sharing — not a street address.
• Device: push notification tokens, language, theme, notification preferences.
• Purchases: subscription status via RevenueCat / Apple / Google (we do not receive your full payment card details).
• Advertising: AdMob may collect device identifiers for ads in the free tier (Google’s policies apply).

How we use data

• Provide the service (sync between you and your partner).
• Send push notifications you opt into.
• Process subscriptions and restore purchases.
• Improve stability and security.

Who can see your content

• Your partner in the linked couple session.
• Our team can access data stored on our servers (Firebase) for operations, support, and legal compliance — content is not end-to-end encrypted.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Processors & transfers

We use Google Firebase (hosting, database, storage, auth, functions), Apple / Google app stores, RevenueCat, and Google AdMob. Data may be processed in the EU, US, or other regions where these providers operate. Standard contractual safeguards may apply where required.

Retention

We keep data while your account is active. You can delete your account in Settings. After deletion, personal account data is removed; shared couple content may remain inaccessible to users if the couple is disconnected (see Terms).

Your rights (GDPR / KVKK)

• Access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable.
• Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g. location, notifications) via device or in-app settings.
• Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (e.g. KVKK in Türkiye).

Security

We use HTTPS, access rules so only couple members read shared content, and industry-standard cloud infrastructure. No method is 100% secure.

Children

Not intended for users under 16. Contact us to remove a minor’s data.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.

Our Chapter bir çift günlüğü ve ilişki uygulamasıdır. Bu metin hangi verileri topladığımızı, nedenini ve haklarınızı açıklar.

Topladığımız veriler

• Hesap: e-posta, görünen ad, şifre (Firebase Authentication’da; düz metin şifre saklamayız).
• Çift içeriği: günlük metinleri, fotoğraflar, yorumlar, test cevapları, ilişki tarihleri — yalnızca eşleştiğiniz partnerle paylaşılır.
• Profil: isteğe bağlı avatar fotoğrafı veya emoji.
• Konum (isteğe bağlı): paylaşım açıksa uygulama açıkken yaklaşık konum (~100 m); tam adres saklanmaz.
• Cihaz: bildirim token’ları, dil, tema, bildirim tercihleri.
• Satın alma: abonelik durumu (RevenueCat / Apple / Google; kart bilgisi tarafımıza gelmez).
• Reklam: ücretsiz planda AdMob cihaz tanımlayıcıları toplayabilir.

Kullanım amaçları

• Hizmeti sunmak ve partnerinizle senkronize etmek.
• Onayladığınız push bildirimleri.
• Abonelik ve geri yükleme işlemleri.
• Güvenlik ve iyileştirme.

İçeriği kim görebilir

• Partneriniz (bağlı çift oturumu).
• Ekibimiz operasyon, destek ve yasal yükümlülükler için sunucudaki (Firebase) veriye erişebilir — içerik uçtan uca şifreli değildir.
• Kişisel verilerinizi satmayız.

Altyapı ve aktarım

Google Firebase, Apple / Google mağazaları, RevenueCat ve Google AdMob kullanıyoruz. Veriler AB, ABD veya bu sağlayıcıların faaliyet gösterdiği ülkelerde işlenebilir.

Saklama

Hesabınız aktifken veriler saklanır. Ayarlar’dan hesabınızı silebilirsiniz. Silme sonrası hesap verileri kaldırılır; çift bağlantısı kopmuş içerik kullanıcılara kapalı kalabilir.

Haklarınız (KVKK / GDPR)

• Erişim, düzeltme, silme, itiraz ve taşınabilirlik (uygulanabildiği ölçüde).
• İsteğe bağlı özellikler için rızayı geri çekme (konum, bildirimler).
• Şikâyet: KVKK Kurumu veya ilgili denetim otoritesi.

Çocuklar

16 yaş altına yönelik değildir.
